How It Works

This tool uses the browser's native Web Crypto API to generate cryptographically secure random v4 UUIDs entirely in your browser.

Use Cases

Useful for generating unique database keys, tracking identifiers, or session IDs without relying on external services.

Privacy First

All UUIDs are generated directly on your device. No data is sent to our servers.

Limitations

This generator supports generating up to 1000 UUIDs at a time.

FAQ

What is a UUID?

A Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) is a 128-bit number used to identify information in computer systems.

Are these UUIDs really random?

Yes. We use the Web Crypto API, which leverages your device's cryptographically secure pseudo-random number generator (CSPRNG).

Can these UUIDs collide?

While theoretically possible, the probability of a UUID v4 collision is practically zero due to the massive number of possible combinations.

What is the difference between UUID and GUID?

GUID is Microsoft's implementation of the UUID standard. For most practical purposes, they are identical.
